Zuca Bags, Tougher Than A 10 Year Old !!
Your Zuca bag will carry your books to class, provide a place to sit while in line at the airport or hold up your Mini Cooper for a few minor repairs.
I saw my first Zuca bag about 15 years ago when I was picking my son up from school. I heard a loud banging noise coming from the stairwell in the school. It sounded like a little construction going on, but at an unusual time as kids were exiting the stairwell. When I walked over to identify the noise, the noise turned out to be a child pulling his book bag behind him. He would just let the book bag bang on the steps as he went down the stairwell. The book bag was taking a beating on the stairs. I remember saying to myself, “ That kid’s parents will be replacing that bag in a month.”
Everyday at school pickup, I began to see more of this same type of bag. The bags were taking all the physical abuse these 10 year old kids could dish out. I got closer and wrote down the brand. When I got home, the investigation began. The bags were called “Zuca Bags” and the first thing I saw was an advertisement showing “4” Zuca bags holding up the weight of a Mini Cooper automobile.
The bags were overly built in construction, unique in design and they carried a hefty price tag. These were not book bags that you could get down the street at Walmart or Target. I think the initial price kept them from wide distribution in the school, as I only saw about 30 or 40 in the entire school that year. I decided to take a chance and I invested in one for my son.
That same Zuca book bag is in my home now, still running just fine, for the last 15 years. The investment was worth it.
After about 3 years of getting the Zuca for my son; I bought another one for myself in a travel design. I have used the Zuca Pro travel bag for many trips throughout the United States and to Vietnam twice. I can put 3 days of clothes for myself and my son in the same bag; all the hygiene items that we need also. It’s a great one bag option for a weekend getaway.
I recently refurbished my original Zuca, changed the bag, new wheels (Yes, Flashing Wheels :), the frame is the same one from 12 years ago and many trips; here are some photos of my refurbished Zuca bag.
The photos give you a good idea on just how well these Zuca bags are made.
Refurbished Zuca Bag Frame
This Zuca frame is the original one that I got my son years ago. I replaced the wheels, front frame legs and the bag. The bag is Boho Floral design. Now this Zuca bag will last another 14 years.
At the Zuca website, you can select the type of Zuca you want with many options on design, specific function and even logo them for your business.
There are very few products that I will support on my blog, but Zuca deserves a spot here.
Thank you for listening,,,,,
